To enable us to continue to lead the way in innovation and service delivery, we are investing to build upon the operational, management and leadership capacity of the business with the addition of an Assistant Director role, part of the South Division. This new role comes of the back of our restructure, brining together our Southern and Gippsland regions so that we can better support our clients.

About the Role
This is a new role. We have restructured our Gippsland and Southern regions to form a Division that better reflects the sector. As such the senior leadership team will consist of a Divisional Director and 3 Assistant Directors.
This Assistant Director role will manage the operational aspects of specific service delivery areas including Family Services and Family Violence including The Orange Door across the South and Gippsland area, that is 5 direct reports.
As well as ensuring the ongoing delivery of excellent client outcomes across your service scope, you’ll support the us to build our overall leadership, management and capability, placing us in an even better position to continue to grow and excel in line with our strategic agenda, at both a regional and organisational level.
About our Ideal Candidate
Given the scope of the position and operational responsibility, you’ll bring demonstrated skills and experience in areas including:
- The management of large and complex teams across various service delivery areas.
- The human service delivery system, including the complexities in reference to Child Protection, Family Violence and other relevant theoretical frameworks and evidence-based models relating to Family Services, children and young people.
To help drive our future growth and development, and to complement the existing leadership team You’ll bring:
- You’ll bring an engaging and individualised approach to leadership, with the ability to develop, engage and lead an inclusive and diverse workforce.
- In support of the areas, you will have responsibility you will support the already established, successful and supportive leadership team, you’ll bring the ability to listen to their needs, coaching them to excel and grow.
- You’ll bring a mature and comprehensive understanding of data, analytics and evidence informed practice to further drive the delivery of exceptional client outcomes.
- You’ll will naturally take accountability with an exceptional understanding of the importance of contractual obligations, compliance requirements and the ability to maintain the highest standards.
- You’ll bring an ability to both grow and maintain key stakeholder relationships, supporting the operational excellence internally at AV and building on our reputation externally.
